Ad Tray
They open in a small window in the corner instead. You look, then decide.

Blockers destroy the pop-up. Ad Tray keeps it, somewhere it can’t reach you.
The call the page makes to open a window is intercepted. The browser is never asked for a tab, so your tab strip stays exactly as it was.
The page renders in a sandboxed frame in the corner. It can’t open more pop-ups, touch the page you’re reading, or reach its own cookies.
Open it properly, dismiss it, or trust the site so its windows come straight through. Sign-in and payment windows already do.
It can’t see your files. Nothing outside the browser is in reach, and anything claiming otherwise is overselling.
Banners and in-page ads are untouched. Ad Tray only handles windows that open on their own.
Some pages refuse to render in a frame. Those show an empty window, and the open button still works.
No account, no server, no telemetry. What you hold and what you trust stays in your browser.
